Coronavirus Update

Ivanhoe Dermatology Clinic remains open for the management of your skin disease.
In view of the Coronavirus pandemic, you may wish to alter your appointment in the following ways:

  1. Reschedule routine appointments eg for annual skin examinations.
  2. Consider a Telehealth consultation – for this type of appointment, you stay at home and the consultation takes place by telephone or video call. Telehealth is only suitable for certain skin problems where a detailed skin examination is not needed eg psoriasis or eczema follow-up. Telehealth consultations are covered by Medicare for patients who are:
  • Aged 70 and over
  • Higher risk patients – eg, immunosuppressed
  • Have chronic health condition, eg chronic lung disease, diabetic, chronic skin disease
  • Have a recent (2 week) history of overseas travel
  • Have current symptoms of upper-respiratory infection, eg fever, cough, runny nose
  • Have been exposed to or diagnosed with Covid-19

Please contact the clinic on 94971381 if you think you may be eligible for a telehealth consultation.

We are still able to see those with urgent dermatological problems face to face.

Please do not attend in person
if you:

  1. Have been overseas in the two weeks before appointment
  2. Have upper respiratory symptoms sucy as cough, runny nose and fever

We also request

  1. Minimise the number of accompanying persons at your appointment
